Making a Tool-Less Connection
Nowhere is the expression ?time is money? more true than on the job site. Sometimes your time window for making cable terminations and interconnections is painfully inadequate to get the job done right.
Nowhere is the expression “time is money” more true than on the job site. The project manager wants the installer to move on to the next installation, other trades want you out of their way, and sometimes your time window for making cable terminations and interconnections is painfully inadequate to get the job done right.
Quest Group's (parent company of AudioQuest and WireLogic) tool-less connectors — well, not entirely tool-free, because you'll still need a rotary coax stripper — are simple compression-fit plugs that can significantly reduce installation time. The nickel-plated series of ITC connectors can be used with F, BNC, and RCA for 18-AWG, 20-AWG and 24-AWG coax cable. Prices range from 60 cents to $1.60 each.
