Symetrix and its associated SymNet, Lucid, and AirTools brands of pro audio processors have recently hired Eric Dies to serve as vice president of manufacturing to improve and innovate the company's production and manufacturing process.

Dies is APICS-certified in production and inventory management and comes to Symetrix after overseeing the strategic planning, process improvement, and daily tactical management of the manufacturing and service operations for the Autochem business unit of Mettler Toledo Autochem.

"Eric is a devoted adherent and practitioner of the 'lean manufacturing' production practice, which seeks to eliminate any aspect of the production process that fails to add value to the product," said Julie Ogden, Symetrix chief operating officer, in a statement. "He has been working for 20 years in light assembly and electronics and comes to us with a keen strategic vision and a wealth of practical skills."

"I am excited to apply everything that I know to the Symetrix manufacturing process," said Dies in a statement. "Personally, it will be a very engaging challenge to make improvements to a system that is already quite good."
