RTI's processors are capable of controlling AV, environmental, and other electronic systems from anywhere within a facility, says the company. RS-232 ports allow for bi-directional communication from compatible devices for status feedback such as temperature, lighting, and security, while the latest two-way and ZigBee-enable handheld and in-wall controllers offer convenience.

"By taking full advantage of the ZigBee and two-way capabilities of our latest controllers, these two processors provide a truly extraordinary control experience," said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI, in a statement.

According to the company, the MRP-64 acts as an interface between multizone AV systems and an assortment of RTI's two-way-enabled, in-wall and handheld controllers. As the company's first control device developed to leverage the multizone capabilities built into current surround receivers, the MRP-64 is well suited for professionally installed electronic systems, RTI says.

The unit offers six built-in keypad ports for RTI's in-wall controllers and features four independent and one high IR output ports, three voltage trigger outputs, three assignable voltage sense inputs, and an IR signal input. The MRP-64 has an Ethernet port for two-way communications with compatible RTI in-wall controllers and the flexibility for future expansion capabilities.

The ZRP-6 processor, when paired with RTI's latest Integration Designer software, offers tight integration with third-party devices, allowing installers to program their handheld remotes or in-wall touch-screen controllers for complete integration with media servers, thermostats, lighting, multi-room audio, security, and other systems. The ZRP-6 features built-in IR routing and pass-through, relay control, 12-VDC trigger outputs, and sense inputs that allow events to be triggered by third-party devices. The processor stores all system IR commands and macros within a central unit.

Two-way drivers for third-party integration are developed and preprogrammed through RTI's Integration Partner Program.
