Polycom Introduces HD Videoconferencing

The HDX 8000 series of videoconferencing equipment is the latest in Polycom's HDX series. The 8000 series provides small to medium conference rooms with their UltimateHD display technology. The accompanying HDX Version 2.0 software includes the company's patent-pending Lost Packet Recovery, which is said to improve the pervasiveness of video conferencing by enabling consistent quality for home office workers, field deployments, calls on networks subject to frequent packet loss, and calls over the Internet.
