NSCA is encouraging members to improve their project management skills by enrolling in the organization's new three-day Project Management Program.

?In this course, you'll learn how to manage all aspects of a project from start to finish,? said Norah Hammond, senior director of professional development. ?You'll emerge poised to take charge of projects and, as a result, boost your company's bottom line.?

The class covers fundamental, as well as advanced concepts, examining a variety of topics such as how to manage both the human and financial aspects of projects, how to manage billings and cash flow, and how to mitigate project risks.

The first class will be offered Nov. 12-14, 2008, in Philadelphia at a member introductory price of $824, which includes materials and the exam. Afterwards, the member price will be $949; the non-member price will be $1,149.

Two more classes are scheduled for 2009: March 18-20, 2009, in Seattle and Sept. 16-18, 2009, in Chicago. The three-day class is designed to help students improve profitability through greater efficiency and reduced cost overruns.

In addition to the new program, NSCA plans to continue to offer one- and two-day project management courses to help companies streamline their business operations.
