NSCA University is offering a variety of sessions during InfoComm 09, June 14-19 in Orlando, Fla. Official site as important sessions:
Understanding Line Arrays: Separating Reality from Marketing Hype, Proper Application and Tuning. Discuss the mathematic fundamentals behind how line arrays work, the high-frequency isophasic aperture found in all non-steerable line-array products, and the compromises made in the application of theory. A live presentation will demonstrate the equalization of line arrays and the technology used to beam-steer today's steerable line-array products.
Using Cat 5, 5e, 6 for Audio and Video Applications. Discuss category cable use, balanced lines, and how they reject noise and crosstalk. Examine RGB, VGA, SVGA, XGA, QXGQ and other signals. Plus, learn how far you can go in different variations of coax and twisted pair cables, relationship to screen resolution and pixel size, and calculating these distances.
Networking Issues that Impact AV Integrators and Designers. The A/V world is rapidly merging with the networking world. To succeed in this new world order, AV integrators and designers must gain a working understanding of the network protocols and topologies with which they will be interfacing. This hands-on workshop will teach essential networking skills.
