New Intelix Twisted-Pair Extender Transmits HD Video

Intelix announced the release of its latest twisted-pair solution, the Digi-V3SD extender set.Digi-V3SD transmits HD component video (YPbPr), stereo audio, and IR or RS-232 over a twisted-pair cable, such as Cat-5 or Cat-6.

According to the company, the extender set supports 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, and 1080i YPbPr video, high-fidelity 20 Hz to 20 kHz audio, and IR or bi-directional RS-232 extension up to 1,000 feet over a single twisted-pair cable. The receive unit features built-in video equalization and skew compensation.

Each Digi-V3SD set comes with a send unit, receive unit, and two power supplies. All components are fully compatible with Intelix's SD Series of matrix switchers and distribution amplifiers.

The Intelix Digi-V3SD is expected to retail for $557.
