Mid Atlantic Goes Vertical

Middle Atlantic Products has introduced its new Vertical Rackmount System, a rackmount shelf that vertically holds up to seven satellite or cable boxes.

Middle Atlantic Products has introduced its new Vertical Rackmount System (VRS), a rackmount shelf that vertically holds up to seven satellite or cable boxes.

The VRS enables components to be clamped in a vertical position, held in place by adjustable card slides on the bottom shelf. According to the company, this high-density configuration saves space in the rack compared to the less efficient method of placing each satellite or cable box on individual shelves.

Well suited to sports bars, restaurants, gyms, hotels, and lounges, the VRS allows users to save money by only purchasing one model instead of multiple rack shelves, according to Middle Atlantic.

The VRS design allows for space around each component so heat can rise between them for cooling. It also features a cable management system at the rear that provides neat installation and more space for air circulation.

An optional power strip bracket can be mounted to the rear of the bottom VRS shelf for convenient power.
