Meyer Sound announced the appointment of John McMahon to executive director of digital products.
Meyer Sound announced the appointment of John McMahon to executive director of digital products. The newly created position reflects Meyer Sound's expanding commitment to the development and integration of its digital products line, which has become an important part of Broadway and West End theatrical productions, said the company.
In his new role, McMahon will oversee the strategic direction of marketing, sales, and research and development of Meyer Sound's key digital signal processing technologies, including the Galileo loudspeaker management system, Matrix3 audio show control, Constellation electroacoustic architecture, and all related hardware and software development.
John has been an integral part of defining and developing the strategic direction of Meyer Sound's new generation of digital technologies, as well as maintaining a consistency in integrating those new technologies with our existing products,? said John Meyer, Meyer Sound CEO and co-founder, in a statement. ?His new position will enable him to work even more closely with the company's team leaders to firmly establish Meyer Sound's position as a leader in digital audio technologies worldwide.?
McMahon will divide his time between the company's Berkeley headquarters and Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, offices. He will continue to be presence at key trade shows and worldwide presentations, and will keep in contact with Meyer Sound's customer base, said the company.
As a result of McMahon's new position, Teri McLennan has been promoted to business operations manager at Meyer Sound Canada, taking on many of the day-to-day operations and responsibilities that McMahon handled up until now.
