Martin Audio Finance Director Takes Joint Role

Martin Audio, in High Wycombe, England, promoted its long-time finance director, Anthony Taylor, to the role of joint managing director.

The move, welcomed by parent company LOUD Technologies, is considered strategic succession planning, even though current CEO and managing director David Bissett-Powell has no intention of leaving and recommended the promotion, according to a statement from the company.

"[Anthony's] balanced business skills mean that he can handle a great deal of the day-to-day responsibility and future direction of Martin Audio and, hopefully, allow me sufficient time to assist with other LOUD functions as well as continuing my focus on our distribution in China," Bissett-Powell said.

Taylor joined Martin Audio in 1994 after spending his early years at accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. At Martin Audio, he helped steer the company through its most prosperous period in history in 2003. He currently servers on the board of directors.
