Electro-Voice Auctions Celebrity Items for Charity

On August, 1, 2007, shortly after 6 p.m., the I-35W Bridge in Minneapolis collapsed, plunging dozens of rush-hour commuters into the Mississippi River. As a Minnesota-based company, Electro-Voice was compelled to help. The next day, the company began receiving e-mails and phone calls from various partners and friends in the music industry, wanting to know how they could assist with fundraising.

Electro-Voice (EV), a Minnesota-based manufacturer of professional audio products, announced a fundraising event to benefit the victims and families of those lost in the August 2007 I-35W Bridge disaster in Minneapolis. A celebrity guitar and microphone auction on Ebay from April 29 - May 9 aims to boost the ongoing sales of EV's benefit compilation album, "Musicians for Minneapolis: 57 Songs for the 1-35W Bridge Disaster Relief Effort," and raise money for the Minnesota Helps: Bridge Disaster Fund.
