The IPAC serves as the central control processor for a Crestron Green Light power switching system. A preconfigured default program LCD display and front panel controls enable easy setup and programming for a switching system that includes up to 210 switched loads; CNX-B, C2N-DB, or Cameo keypads; 41 occupancy sensors and photo sensors; and 100 time clock events.

The IPAC uses a built-in astronomical time clock to automatically turn light on and off according to the time of day or sunrise/sunset. Lighting events can be programmed to occur at specific times or at an offset. Occupancy sensors and photocells may also be used to enable automatic on/off lighting control based on room occupancy and ambient light levels.

The new RoomView software feature allows Crestron-connected campuses to use RoomView to broadcast emergency messages, selectively routing critical information to any device on the network that supports dynamic text, such as Smart boards, projectors, displays, and touch panels.

Text-based communications about the type of emergency and related instructions, including evacuation routes and other emergency procedures, can be issued from the school's help desk. Targeted messages can be issued to a single room, group of rooms, or campus-wide with a few simple clicks in RoomView. Text can be updated as the situation evolves.

"This new RoomView feature is in direct response to our A+ Partners who have been dealing with some very serious situations in the field. Now, schools have a simple, fully integrated solution," said Randy Klein, Crestron executive vice president, in a statement. "The unique ability of Crestron to connect every room on a single managed network makes it possible to deliver urgent messages and instructions effectively and reliably."
