Crestron Names New Commercial Lighting Director

Crestron announced Jay Almer as its new director of commercial lighting.

Crestron announced Jay Almer as its new director of commercial lighting. Almer will be responsible for managing global sales for Crestron Commercial Lighting. He enters the position with 28 years in the lighting controls industry and extensive knowledge, experience, and relationships to help him lead the rapidly growing business, according to the company.

"Crestron Commercial Lighting is a major part of our business and is very important for our continued growth," said Randy Klein, Crestron executive vice president, in a statement. "This appointment demonstrates our commitment to this industry. Lighting controls are an essential part of a complete integrated solution, especially to provide building management and green solutions."

Almer spent several years developing lighting control systems for lighting designers, electrical engineers, architects, and interior designers across North America. Most recently, he worked for Lutron Electronics, where he served as director of sales for 17 years.

"I am thrilled to be joining such an innovative and visionary company," said Almer. "I am eager to bring my industry knowledge to Crestron and continue to expand its successful integrated lighting controls business."
