Community Reaches New Lows with Subwoofers

Community Professional launched the new VLF series of Versatile Low Frequency loudspeakers, which boast a compact, low-profile design.

Community Professional launched the new VLF series of Versatile Low Frequency loudspeakers, which boast a compact, low-profile design expected to excel in theaters, restaurants, houses of worship, and other applications, according to Community officials. The small size of the VLF loudspeakers allows them to fit into areas where larger subwoofers may be impractical, says the company. The dual 8-inch VLF208 and 12-inch VLF212 are the first models in the series. With a frequency response of 70 Hz in passive mode or 60 Hz with digital signal processing (DSP), the VLF208 can function in pairs as a steered bass array and is equipped with fly points and four rubber feet. The VLF212 features slot-loaded woofers for a low frequency response of 50 Hz in passive mode or 43 Hz with DSP. The VLF subwoofers are available in black or white finishes.
