Biamp Systems announced it has promoted Gina Napoli to vice president of marketing. Napoli now reports to Steve Metzger, who became the new president of Biamp in January.
"The Biamp board of directors unanimously voted for Gina's promotion from director of marketing to vice president," said Metzger in a statement. "She has established a world-class marketing organization that has significantly elevated the Biamp brand worldwide. The new title also befits her expanded responsibility as head of our worldwide training operation, a job we know she will handle superbly."
As vice president, Napoli will retain her key marketing responsibilities, which include developing and driving the global marketing plan, directing new product introductions, overseeing corporate communications, and directing the activities of the company's external marketing agencies. She also will become a key member of the senior management team at Biamp, adding an experienced and intelligent voice to strategic matters, says the company.
As head of training, a major responsibility will be to advance the Biamp Education Experience. Napoli will manage a global training team dedicated to ensuring that integration partners receive the training they need to design and install Biamp products in the most knowledgeable manner.
Napoli joined Biamp in 2006 from Virgin Entertainment Group in Los Angeles, where, as senior marketing manager, she developed brand and marketing strategy for Virgin's emerging digital music service, which was subsequently sold to Napster.
