AVI-SPL Names New VP, Strategic Accounts

AVI-SPL has promoted Dale Bottcher to vice president of strategic accounts. In his new role, Bottcher will specialize in the technology and energy services vertical markets.

AVI-SPL has promoted Dale Bottcher to vice president of strategic accounts. In his new role, Bottcher will specialize in the technology and energy services vertical markets.

"We have experienced great success as our team has particularly focused on the needs of each individual vertical market," said Don Mastro, senior vice president of strategic accounts, in a statement. "By adding Dale to our team, we will be better positioned to meet our initiatives. Heading into 2010, we are looking to solidify our presence in other areas, including the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and legal markets."

Bottcher joined AVI-SPL legacy company SPL Integrated Solutions in 2003 as a senior sales engineer after holding the same position at a local AV integration firm for six years. Before that, he worked at 3Com as a meeting coordinator and later as a facility manager, where he helped create videoconferencing and meeting technology standards and assisted with opening new remote offices for the company. In 2009, Bottcher was named sales manager for the AVI-SPL Chicago office, a position he held for less than a year before his promotion.
