Atlas Sound Racks Earn Seismic Certification

Atlas Sound announced that its 700 series of NEBS-compliant equipment racks are seismic certified and now shipping in 35RU to 44RU configurations.

Dynamic tests conducted on a shaker table and designed to replicate the full-force rattle of a Zone 4 earthquake, which is equivalent to 8.0 on the Richter scale, led to the seismic certification. Fitted with the new SBK700 brackets, the series includes the 25-inch-deep 735-25, 740-25, and 744-25 models, the 30-inch 744-30 model, and the 36-inch 744-36 model.

The racks were built for single- and multi-bay applications that require added weight capacity and depths extending to 36 inches. With a 14-gauge frame construction, each model features multi-formed and welded frame members, double-formed front and rear sections, and vertical columns that interlock with both the cabinet top and base for bearing heavier loads.

The 700 series is sold exclusively in the United States and Canada through a network of authorized dealers.
