Ashly Appoints National Sales Manager

Ashly Audio has appointed John Sexton to national sales manager. Sexton, who will be based in Oklahoma, began his professional audio career at Altec Lansing Corp. and has since amassed 25 years of experience in various regional, national, and international sales and marketing positions.

Ashly Audio has appointed John Sexton to national sales manager. Sexton, who will be based in Oklahoma, began his professional audio career at Altec Lansing Corp. and has since amassed 25 years of experience in various regional, national, and international sales and marketing positions.

Sexton comes to Ashly Audio after seven years as vice president of sales and marketing for Altec Lansing Technologies in Milford, Penn. There, he helped spearhead the reintroduction of the brand to the pro audio industry through high-profile airport and hotel installations worldwide, according to Ashly officials. Prior to that, Sexton had a four-year stint as regional sales manager with the Jones Sales Group in Flower Mound, Tex., through 2001, representing Bosch Communications Systems and other product lines in the Gulf Coast region.

Having joined Altec Lansing Corp. as a customer service manager in 1983, Sexton quickly rose to the position of international sales manager, then director of sales for Altec Lansing and University Sound. Following that, he pent four years as director of international sales for EVI Audio in Buchanan, Mich., where he oversaw the international distribution network for Altec Lansing, Electro-Voice, and University Sound products in Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.
