Premier Mounts appointed Mark Almond to director of operations, tasking him with overseeing the operational and logistical functions within Premier Mounts. According to the company, Almond will focus on several supply chain areas, such as purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and quality assurance to facilitate the company's aggressive expansion plan.

Almond will report to Lee Dodson and work closely with the sales, customer support, and product development teams to increase efficiency and ensure that the company retains its ability to produce products that cost effectively.

"With over 20 years of management experience, including five years of experience in the AV OEM and ODM market, Mark has built an impressive portfolio of successful, streamlined operations in a turbulent global economy," said Dodson in a statement. "His experience will be of great value to Premier Mounts as we set the course for our growth through the next 18 months."

Almond's first task will be supporting the launch of three significant Premier Mounts' products leading up to InfoComm 2010 in June. The three products, the FTP (Fine-Tune Projector Mount), the UNI-ST+AUDIO (Universal Short-Throw Projector Arm with Audio, and the SpiroLock mount, represent a significant push by Premier Mounts to maintain its position in the AV market as an innovator in the development and design of mounting products."

Almond comes to Premier Mounts after heading B-Tech International's USA operations as general manager, where he was responsible for the entire business management of the organization. Other experiences include Lift Mates, where he was co-founder and general manager; StellarNet; Zambeel; and Kensington Technologies.
