TV One Taps New Head of R&D

TV One announced the appointment of Paul Burfield to the position of R&D manager.

TV One announced the appointment of Paul Burfield to the position of R&D manager. Burfield is new to TV One, but he is not new to the digital video electronics industry, according to company officials. He is a 25-year industry veteran with an extensive technical background in areas such as project management of R&D teams, FPGA and mechanical board design, software, and EMC/CE requirements with companies that includes the BBC, IBM Microelectronics, NEC, and Petards EIMC.

"I am very pleased to be able to make this appointment and I have every confidence in Paul's ability to fulfill his role as R&D manager," said Steven Mattingly, managing director of TV One, in a statement. "I am positive that this will ensure the continuing development of exciting new products to add to the TV One brand in the coming years."

Regarding his move to TV One, Burfield said in a statement, "I am delighted in becoming R&D manager for TV One, as the company is recognized for producing world leading Video Processing Equipment. With my many years experience in the industry I plan to focus on our key products. In particular by enabling the team to develop more TV One solutions based on the proprietary Corio system."
