Crestron announced the appointment of Ami Wright as its director of residential market development. Wright joins Crestron from Universal Electronics where she was national sales director for the custom electronics division in North and South America. With a proven track record of increasing revenue and profits, Wright will help expand the total market for Crestron residential control and automation solutions by fostering relationships with Crestron dealers and developing new customers and segments of the market including lighting control, according to the company.
"Lighting control is an essential part of our whole-house control environment, and one of the most popular features that homeowners request," said Crestron senior director of lighting controls Mike Malone, in a statement. "Bringing Ami on board demonstrates our commitment to expanding the residential market and bringing seamless integrated technology to more homes."
Wright brings 11 years of experience in the custom electronics industry, specializing in control solutions. She began her career at Lutron as part of the residential integrated systems sales team in the Western region. Most recently, Wright spent six years at Universal Electronics where she was instrumental in building the custom electronics business line from the ground up through a variety of launch activities, new business development, marketing, policy formulation, on-site training and incentive programs.
"Consumers are using more technology than ever before and it has become essential to have a simple, yet sophisticated and powerful control solution in the home and on the go to meet their demands," Wright said in a statement.
