Crestron announced the appointment of Michael Stegmann as its new director of hospitality sales and marketing. Stegmann joins Crestron from Siemens, where he was a business development and marketing executive in the company's hospitality and entertainment business group.
In his new position, Stegmann will apply his nearly 25 years experience in regional sales, account management, business development, and marketing to Crestron, company officials said.
"Crestron components, AV, lighting control, and integration, play a major role in large hospitality projects worldwide, and with Mike's leadership we intend to expand our integrated building technology solution into all aspects of the hospitality and entertainment market," said Mike Malone, Crestron senior director of lighting controls, in statement.
Stegmann began his career at Siemens Enterprise Networks as regional sales manager. He moved up the ranks at Siemens becoming customer integration business development manager where he developed and established a professional service sales and revenue practice for the Eastern region.
In 2005, Stegmann joined Siemens One, a marketing, business development, and account management organization that leverages Siemens USA to Fortune 1000 companies. Stegmann collaborated with Siemens business units to sell and market to the hospitality and gaming industries, including product and solutions for renowned hotels and resorts.
"I am very excited to lead Crestron's hospitality sales and marketing effort," said Stegmann in a statement. "With so many unique brands and entertainment venues in the market today, having a suite of flexible solutions to address the lighting, audio, and room control needs of our clients positions Crestron as the market leader."
