BICSI Names New CEO
The Executive Board of Directors for BICSI named John D. Clark, Jr. as the executive director/CEO.
After a thorough search of qualified candidates and months of deliberation, BICSI's Executive Director Search Committee elected to appoint Clark based on his credentials. The board's decision correlates with the organization's new strategic direction to advance the knowledge and success of BICSI's membership, its customer's, and the ITS industry.
Clark comes as a highly experienced Certified Association Executive (CAE) and telecommunications industry executive, most recently as president/CEO for the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).
"I've been well aware for several years of the great work being done by BICSI," said Clark in a statement. "Career-wise, I have two loves: telecommunications and association management. The BICSI executive director/CEO opportunity allows me to blend these two on a global stage."
"Mr. Clark will lead BICSI into the future, providing leadership, experience, and clear vision to implement the BICSI Strategic Plan, BICSI NextGEN Business Plan, Association Outreach Mission, as well as our goal to increase membership value, and provide exceptional customer service to the ITS communities around the globe," said Edward J. Donelan, BICSI president.
Clark is a former marketing executive with more than 28 years of experience in the cable and telecommunications industries and holds an MBA from the University of Maryland.
