Clear-Com will demonstrate its new HelixNet unified intercom platform at InfoComm. Based on the company’s I.V.Core technology, the system is meant to be easier to install, utilizing standard cabling, and where appropriate, a company’s existing LAN infrastructure. As a unified solution, HelixNet is designed to link and control multiple connections on a single communications platform, including a main station, portable beltpack, digital panel, wall-speaker unit, or software-based client. It’s equipped with built-in gateways to interoperate with traditional intercom systems and is compatible with Clear-Com Encore, RTS two-wire or party line, and four-wire matrix wired and wireless systems. The first products in the family are the HelixNet Main Station, which supports four channels and 20 beltpacks and can accept connections via two-wire or four-wire interface modules, and HelixNet Beltpacks, which have high-contrast OLED status displays and tactile controls.
