Kramer Electronics introduced the high-resolution VA-2H EDID Reader-Emulator, a diagnostic and debugging tool for installers working with HDMI equipment. The device can switch three different EDIDs to the HDMI input, supports up to 2.25-Gbps bandwidth per channel, and handles resolutions up to 1080p and UXGA It can store and recall a default EDID setting in nonvolatile memory allowing convenient and accurate connection to an HDMI source. The $445 VA-2H has a USB port and software editor, allowing installers to manipulate various parameters of the EDID, such as settings and timings.
