At the Consumer Electronics Show last month, LG Electronics launched a family of full-array LED-lit LCD displays that use what the company calls Nano Lighting Technology. The Nano Series LW9500 and LW7700 HDTVs have a thin film printed with a proprietary light dispersion pattern that combines with full-array LEDs to disperse light more evenly across the screen. LG says this helps create pictures that are brighter and more uniform than other edge-lit LED displays. The LW9500 is available is 55- and 60-inch screen sizes, while the LW7700 is available in 55- and 47-inch models. The LW9500 line uses TruMotion 480 Hz to minimize blur; the LW7700 uses TruMotion 240 Hz. 800-243-0000. www.lgusa.com.
