MultiDyne Video and Fiber Optic Systems rolled out the DVI-ONE-E, which can transmit and receive either DVI or HDMI video over a single fiber connection using bi-directional communication to maintain HDCP copyright compliance and EDID functionality. The solution can send an uncompressed DVI or HDMI signal at up to WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution with no dropped frames, the company says. Displays can be set up more than 3,000 feet away from the source when multimode fiber is used. The DVI-ONE-E handles DVI and HDMI signals through a cable adapter and includes a locking HDMI-connector. It comes with external power supplies but both transmitter and receiver can also be powered using a free USB port. 516-671-7278. www.multidyne.com.
