2009 Best Education AV Project (Under $250K)
You can't tell from this picture, but the third-floor eye lab at the Illinois College of Optometry is actually shaped like an eye. Within that space is room enough for 18 refracting lanes (the place where eye exams, and in this case learning, happens) equipped with LCD monitors, to which an instructor at the lectern can transmit presentations.

Images had to be accurate and high resolution, so a Magenta Research Infinea UTP distribution system, plus Extron switch and scaling equipment, were installed to ensure the DVI-D signals were sharp. One challenge? Because PCs at the lectern and in the lanes had various graphics cards, extended display identification data (EDID) wasn't always passed reliably.
