Digital Signal Processor: BSS Audio Soundweb London BLU-100
The new BLU-100 is designed to be the cost-effective member of BSS Audio?s Soundweb London family of digital signal processors.
The new BLU-100 is designed to be the cost-effective member of BSS Audio’s Soundweb London family of digital signal processors. It’s a fixed-configuration DSP with 12 inputs and eight outputs, configurable signal processing, logic processing, and a fault-tolerant digital audio bus. The company says the processing capability in the BLU-100 is roughly twice that of Soundweb London BLU-80 and BLU-16 devices. The analog inputs of the BLU-100 provide software-configurable gain in 6-dB steps up to 48 dB per channel, and software-selectable phantom power. Phantom power, signal presence, and clip information are accessible without a PC from a front-panel LED indicator. The audio bus has 48 channels and uses Cat-5e cabling for distances up 330 feet between devices. Fiber converters can increase the distance to more than 6.2 miles over single-mode fiber.
