ZeeVee, a manufacturer of signal distribution solutions, announced Frank White as its director of business development. According to the company, White is considered an industry pioneer of RF video distribution solutions and is the creator of the ChannelPlus product line.

"We are excited to have Frank join our team. His extensive analog RF video background is a perfect addition to our team as we revolutionize the industry by using RF to deliver digital HD over existing coax networks," said ZeeVee co-founder and CEO Vic Odryna, in a statement. "Frank will report to our VP of sales, Dave Malin, and is charged with accelerating our growth within the light commercial and residential integration sectors."

White brings to ZeeVee years of industry experience, expertise, and insight, says the company. Prior to joining ZeeVee, he was a principal and vice president of sales and marketing for Multiplex Technology from 1983 to 1998. During his 15-year tenure at Multiplex, White played a large role in creating the ChannelPlus brand, building it into a must-have line of RF-related products and differentiating it from the commodity pack of brands, says the company. He was also instrumental in training the industry about designing and implementing quality RF backbones in the residential marketplace.

Following his experience with ChannelPlus, White moved on to AMX as vice president of sales and marketing. In his three years there, he took the control systems company through a period of rapid growth, bringing it to $100 million in sales. White then formed Custom Metrics in 2000, and began delivering consulting expertise to numerous clients.

White was also instrumental in the creation, growth, and expansion of CEDIA, serving six years on the board of directors and delivering vision and leadership at a variety of volunteer levels since 1989. His high-energy style of training has created legions of qualified custom installers worldwide, the company says.

"We are very confident in Frank's ability to grow these important markets. Our initial investments in this dealer base have created an exciting business; integrators are leveraging our products in their pursuit of high-quality HD video and digital signage distribution systems," Malin continued in a statement. "Given Frank's experience with both RF-based distribution technology and the integrators in these markets, he was my logical first choice. Frank mirrors our feelings about the value of deep relationships with a responsible, value-oriented dealer base."
