Crestron Electronics has taken its V-Panel line of aesthetic touch panels and created a lower-cost, all-in-one version. The new TMPC V-Panels integrate the graphics engine into the panel. (Regular V-Panels are powered by a centrally located digital graphics engine connected via a DigitalMedia cable.) The new models come in 12-inch (TPMC-V12) and 15-inch (TPMC-V15) versions, each running built-in applications for accessing online music, movies, and other digital content; viewing metadata and cover art; and Web browsing. They also have embedded media players, support for onscreen annotation, two-way VoIP intercom functionality with built-in microphone, speakers, and a keyboard-mouse port. Flash support allows programmers to create animations and 3D effects onscreen. 800-237-2041. www.crestron.com.
