AMX Rolls Out Third-Gen Control Pads
AMX recently announced distribution of the Novara 3000 series control pad, a family of third-generation standalone user interfaces with on-board controllers that can be configured to operate lights, AV equipment, HVAC, and other systems and in simple conference or classroom settings.

The Novara 3000 keypad/controllers fit into a standard back box and are available in six-, eight- and 17-button configurations. They are available in various configurations of IR, RS-232, relay, and I/O ports to support a variety of AV devices, including projectors, DVD players, and switchers. A deployment with multiple Novara 3000s can be installed and updated simultaneously with the Novara Device Configuration Software, according to company officials.
AMX said the Novara 3000 can be installed in three ways: as a standalone solution for simple conference rooms and classrooms, combined with an Enova AVX-400-SP for rooms with switching and amplification requirements, or as part of an entire campus or facility with network-based remote management using a built-in Ethernet port. The Novara 3000 also suports network-based remote management through Resource Management Suite (RMS) software from AMX.
"The Novara 3000 Series fits perfectly in smaller cost-effective, standalone, simple control solutions, all the way up to large, comprehensive, multilevel, AMX NetLinx control solutions," said AMX chief technology officer Robert Noble, in a statement.
