Audix Microphone Corp. has introduced the MicroBoom, a 50-inch carbon fiber boom arm designed to attach to any microphone stand for use in choir miking and presentation applications. The upper end of the unit features a mini-XLR connector. The boom arm includes internal Mogami cable and terminates in a mini-XLR male connector. Price: $549 to $619, depending on configuration. Designed to be mounted to a wall plate, AudioControl Industrial's BVR-25 balanced line receiver fits into a single-gang wall box. The line receiver, which receives signals from Cat5 cable via two RJ45 connectors, is designed to work with the company's line of balanced line sending units. The receiver supports 480, 720, and 1080 high-bandwidth video signals and outputs component video and digital audio. The unit's dual RJ45 connectors enable users to daisy-chain AV signals to multiple BVR-25 units located in other zones. Price: N/A. Availability: April. Neutrik has introduced the HD Series Chassis Connectors and HD Series Cable Connectors. The chassis connectors are sealed male XLR-type connectors designed for outdoor weatherproofing and industrial applications. Both connector lines offer three-, four-, and five-pole XLR-type connectors, while the cable connectors are available in male and female versions. The HD chassis connectors offer stainless steel shells and gold contacts, and IP65 protection, which provides water-, dirt-, and dust-resistant connection when used with the HD cable connectors.
