HD video player

The Nugget2U high-definition video player from Doremi Labs is a two-rack-unit device that features a removable hot-swap hard drive. The video player is designed to be used as a video playback device for high-resolution projectors and flat-panel displays in theme parks, museums, and stage events. The Nugget2U supports HD and SD video files up to 80 MB/s (4:2:2 and 4:2:0). Wireless microphone

Targeted for use in live performance venues, Shure's KSM9 wireless, handheld microphone features dual-diaphragm construction and is switchable between cardioid and supercardioid configurations. The microphone handles a 152 dB maximum SPL at 1,000 Hz and provides 130 dB dynamic range —both at a 1,000-ohm load. The KSM9 also offers a 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, a 72 dB signal-to-noise ratio (20 Hz to 20 kHz, THD <1 percent), and -51 dBV/Pa sensitivity. Price: N/A. Availability: currently available. Multimedia lectern

The TechPod multimedia lectern from Tecom Electronics is designed for use in seminar rooms and lecture halls. It offers computer interfacing with existing institutional/organizational networks, which enables the lectern to control the room's AV systems and house lighting. Audio mixer

Lectrosonics' DM84 audio mixer is designed to route any combination of inputs to any combination of outputs. The mixer, which offers eight inputs and four outputs, includes automatic mixing using a proportional gain algorithm, as well as filtering and built-in delay on each input and output. Based on DSP architecture, the DM84 can be connected to other DM units via the Digital Audio Networking Interface (DANI) bus. The unit has USB and RS232 interfaces for set up and control. Price: N/A. DLP projector

Designed for business, classroom, and house of worship applications, Mitsubishi's WD2000U widescreen projector has native WXGA (1280x768) resolution, 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Balanced line receiver

Designed to be mounted to a wall plate, AudioControl Industrial's BVR-25 balanced line receiver fits into a single-gang wall box. The line receiver, which receives signals from Cat5 cable via two RJ45 connectors, is designed to work with the company's balanced line sending units. The receiver supports 480, 720, and 1080 high-bandwidth video signals, and outputs component video and digital audio. Multi-graphic video processor

Extron's MGP 464 is a four-window, multi-graphic video processor designed for picture-in-picture display of high-resolution computer video graphics and HDTV and PAL/NTSC video sources. Aimed at command & control, videoconferencing, and network operations applications, the processor supports up to 19 input sources. It features a true 19x4 input matrix switcher, which enables any source to be displayed in any or all of the four available onscreen windows.
