A sampling of products to be featured at InfoComm 2006, June 7-9 in Orlando.

Hybrid component video cables

Gepco has introduced the RGB62 and RGB644 hybrid component cables, which are designed for commercial AV applications that require distribution of high-resolution component video with audio and power. The RGB62 cables include six miniature coaxial elements with two balanced audio pairs, while the RGB644 cables have six miniature coaxial elements with four balanced audio pairs and four power conductors. Both cables' coaxial elements feature a precision diameter conductor, a gas-injected dielectric, and dual foils and braid shields. Price: N/A (both models). Audio processing system

Architectural Acoustics' ProlinxDX programmable DSP audio processing, routing, and control system operates as a standalone unit with up to 12 inputs and 12 outputs, or as part of a connected system that supports up to 96 inputs and 36 outputs. The system provides room combining, automatic mixing, wired or wireless networking, and graphic equalization at each output. It can be controlled via its front-panel VGA-resolution LCD display. The ProlinxDX includes USB, Ethernet, and RS232 jacks for system configuration, monitoring, control, and upgrade functions. Price: N/A. Availability: currently available. Interactive whiteboard

Hitachi has introduced the 63-inch diagonal FX-63, the 77-inch diagonal FX-77 (pictured here), and 82-inch widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio FX-82W interactive whiteboards, which are designed for presentations in education and business applications. All models feature a wireless, two-button pen, which enables users to annotate and edit documents, and also functions as a mouse. The whiteboards are available in USB-wired or Bluetooth wireless configurations for integration with computers, projectors, and data scanners. Flat-panel mount

The PLAV70 flat-panel display mount from Peerless Industries is designed to support displays measuring 42 to 71 inches diagonal. The mount, which extends 2.5-feet, features 15 degrees of tilt and 10 degrees of roll adjustment. Targeted for use in the commercial market, the mount's vertical screen adjustment feature enables users to install the unit in recessed installations. The mount, which is UL-listed, includes a cord management snap, which covers guide, signal, and power cables. Price: N/A. Availability: currently available. Visual presenter

Targeted for use in classrooms and corporate boardrooms, Elmo's TT-02 visual presenter offers XGA output and 5.3X optical and 8X digital zoom. The presenter includes an 850,000-pixel, progressive scan CCD for full-size reproduction of A3 documents and 3D objects. The unit has a removable 8.5- by 11-inch shooting stage, which enables users to write notes and annotate documents and photos while moving around the room. The presenter's camera features a switch-selectable output that provides an RGB digital signal for use with DLP or LCD projectors. A USB-equipped model is also available. Price: N/A (both models). Flat-panel mounts

Da-Lite has introduced its Static, Tilt, and Articulating mounts for flat-panel displays weighing up to 40 pounds and up to 40 inches diagonal, depending on the display's weight. All models are configured for displays with VESA-standard mounting holes. The Tilt mount provides 5 degrees of negative (top back) tilt and 20 degrees of positive (top forward) tilt. The Articulating mount (pictured here) is available in two models, with 11 or 20 inches of extension. All models are available in a gray or black powder-coated finish. Audio media mixer

The Symetrix 760 Audio Media Mixer is targeted for use in restaurants, hotels, sports bars, and nightclubs. The mixer includes four microphone inputs, eight stereo line-level inputs, and six stereo line-level outputs. The 760 features microphone pre-amplification, compression, automatic gain control, matrix mixing, paging, feedback elimination, filters, and equalization. It occupies one rack space, and is controlled via an Ethernet-enabled Windows interface. Price: N/A. Availability: currently available. Microphone boom arm

Audix Microphone Corp. has introduced the MicroBoom, a 50-inch, carbon fiber boom arm that's designed to attach to any microphone stand for use in choir mic and presentation applications. The upper end of the unit features a mini-XLR connector, while the boom arm includes internal Mogami cable and terminates in a mini-XLR male connector. AES/EBU input and output modules

RSS has released the SI-AES4 AES/EBU input module and the SO-AES4 output module, which are designed to be used with the company's S-4000 modular digital snake. The SI-AES4 input module enables users to combine audio sources such as digital multi-rack recorder used for show playback, samplers, and broadcast video playback decks with analog sources such as microphones. The SO-AES4 output module provides interfacing with AES/EBU-compatible consoles and devices. Both modules include built-in sample frequency rate converters and accommodate clock from 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz. Price: N/A (both models). Availability: currently available (both models). Interactive pen display

Smart Technologies has introduced its Sympodium ID350 and ID370 interactive pen displays, which are designed for use in teaching, training, and collaboration applications. Targeted for lectern use, the ID350 includes a 15-inch XGA (1024x768) LCD display. The ID370 (pictured here) features a 17-inch SXGA (1280x1024) LCD display for viewing more detailed material.
