The latest addition to the company's line of scalers, the HD Mate Scaler from Gefen offers functionality when combining different standard and high-definition video sources and outputting each to the single connector on any DVI display. The unit integrates different video formats and converts them to DVI, scales video up and down in all HD resolutions, and enables access to three sources using one display. The plug-and-play unit comes equipped with one DVI and two component video inputs, supplemented by digital TOSlink audio and RCA audio inputs. It supplies a single DVI output, with audio output in digital or analog formats, depending on the audio/video source selected. Video is delivered in a pure digital format, with HD video scaling offered in resolutions ranging from 480i to 1080p. Price: $349.
