The IC-2 from Williams Sound is a self-contained audio control center for the simultaneous translation of one to 15 languages. The stand-alone unit allows one or two interpreters to monitor floor or relay sources, activate microphone inputs, and route the signal to one of two language groups. A new Cat-5 audio bus allows quick setup with simplified cabling, cascading for additional interpreters, and no external distribution amplifiers. Various microphones and headsets are available for each interpreter. Adjustable and automatic level controls are also available. The IC-2 can be used with Williams Sound FM, infrared, and Digi-Wave transmitters, and is well-suited for conferences where a floor and key language are used.
