In this edition, AV Contributing Editor Bennet Liles talks with Jeff McGee of Spectrum Sound in Nashville, Tenn., about the huge upgrade they installed in the new worship center for Gladeville Baptist Church. The installation included two new Yamaha M7 mixers, projectors, three large front-projection screens, and a Vaddio PTZ camera control system. The whole system starts up with a command from a Crestron touchpanel. The services at Gladeville Baptist Church are contemporary with live music, which are recorded live onto multiple, prelabeled DVDs. These DVDs are available to church members on their way out at the end of the service.

Discussed in this episode:

  • Routing of the video signals to the projectors
  • The use of the video screens in the sanctuary
  • Making DVD recordings that are made available immediately after the services
  • The use of the Aviom personal mixers for stage monitoring
  • The Vaddio system of PTZ camera control.
