Kramer Electronics, Ltd., a worldwide supplier of audio, video, and computer graphics signal distribution, switching, and processing equipment for the broadcast, production, security, education, home theater, and ProAV presentation markets, is pleased to announce the newest addition to its product line: the VM-100C 1:10 component video distribution amplifier. The VM-100C is an ideal product to meet the needs of the rapidly growing market demand for component video systems and HDTV systems.

The VM-100C is a high bandwidth product with 450 MHz bandwidth at -3dB which ensures the highest possible quality performance. Level (gain) and EQ controls are available to provide compensation correction for signal loss in long distance cable runs which can negatively affect image quality. Separate Level and EQ controls are provided for each of the Y, U, and V output signals.

“The VM-100C is a new addition to the core products in our line,” says Chris Kopin, Vice President of Product Development for Kramer Electronics USA. “There are a lot of systems in the market today, both in the commercial and the residential markets, that are using component video signals or HDTV signals and the VM-100C is squarely positioned to meet the need for routing these signals.”

The VM-100C also has a passive loop through output with termination control for convenient use of a local monitor. It also has an internal dual voltage worldwide power supply and comes in a rugged 19in. rack mount enclosure that is one rack unit high.

In the United States the VM-100C carries a list price of $495. This model is now in stock and available from Kramer Electronics sales companies around the world.
