Christie announces availability of single-chip DLP projector DS+60

Christie, a major provider of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, announces the availability of the Christie DS+60 – the industry’s brightest and most versatile single-chip DLP projector. The Christie DS+60 delivers 6000 ANSI lumens and features a range of lenses and input modules to suit any installation, regardless of ambient lighting, screen size and sources. True SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution, a contrast ratio of up to 5000:1, 10-bit image processing and high quality optics deliver dazzling images with saturated color and spectacular video. The Christie DS+60 integrates easily and quickly into a wide variety of environments including boardrooms, large conference rooms, rental/staging, small auditoriums and houses of worship.

Having won several new product awards during its InfoComm 2004 preview, the Christie DS+60 packs a powerful combination of advanced features in a small package making it a truly universal high performance projector. These unique features include built-in high-bandwidth digital and analog input support from DVI throught HD-SDI, and 50 channel memories. Built-in edge-blending and optional image warping extend its versatility and capability to a variety of applications for a cost-effective visual solution that fits into every budget.

Specific features that make the integration of the Christie DS+60 easier in various applications include the projector’s GPIO port, two RS-232 ports, a RS-422 port and on-board ChristieNET™ network connectivity that provides remote diagnostics and control of the projector from anywhere in the world. In addition, the interchangeable lenses with full offsets offer further flexibility in a wide variety of installations. Built-in lamp redundancy will keep the unit working even if one lamp fails.
