Beginning this month, visitors to www.amx.com will encounter a whole new experience. AMX launched a new corporate website offering significant benefits to site visitors, including a convenient, user-friendly navigation and search model; substantial new product support materials; and a new section dedicated to the company’s vertical markets.

“We wanted AMX.com to better meet the needs of our dealers, independent programmers, consultants and users, so we actively solicited feedback from them via surveys and focus groups,” says Rashid Skaf, AMX president and chief executive officer. “Overall, these individuals wanted a site that was easier and more convenient to use, and that offered more product information to all audiences—so that’s exactly what we did…and more.”

The new website offers:

  • A simpler, more user-friendly navigation model. Every page includes consistent choices at the top with section links along the left side. “Breadcrumb” trails are also visible to help navigate each section. These features make it easier for site visitors to find the information they are looking for, and they provide AMX with flexibility for future growth.
  • A Products section that centrally compiles all relevant supporting materialsfor each product, making it easier and faster for visitors to find what they need. When viewing the web page for a specific AMX hardware or software product, all visitors can now access data sheets, manuals, literature, optional accessories, architectural and engineering (A&E) specifications, drawings, firmware files, photos, touch panel resources, Microsoft Office Visio Stencils and video, as well as 360-degree product views.
  • A new section of the website dedicated to AMX’s vertical markets, explaining how AMX hardware and software solutions meet the unique and diverse needs of each—from business, education, and government to home, houses of worship and multi-dwelling unit (MDU).
  • A Tech Center section that enables fast access to AMX technical data. View download updates, A&E specs, application files, data sheets, drawings, firmware files, logos and photos, manuals, presentations, touchpanel resources, videos, Visio Stencils, and white papers from one central location. The popular AMX Forums can also be accessed from the Tech Center.
  • A comprehensive, site-wide search function that is available from every page. The enhanced search feature recognizes spelling errors, recommends alternate search terms, and allows AMX to highlight featured links.
  • An expanded amount of marketing and press materials. All site visitors can now order company literature and view corporate information, virtual press kits, and more.

Like the previous generation site, the new AMX.com also includes information on AMX University—the company’s extensive training program—and the company’s growing list of more than 150 manufacturer partners.

“Without a doubt, the new website is a more effective communication vehicle for AMX,” Skaf says. “From the home page, which features dynamic content, to the promotional areas located throughout the site, visitors to AMX.com will know about the exciting things going on at AMX.”

The website’s color palate and overall aesthetic design reflects the company’s corporate branding. A tan background, which eases eyestrain, is complimented by muted shades of taupe, green, blue, and grey. For additional visual appeal and enhanced usability, thumbnail images also now accompany most downloads.

Future enhancements to the site, including rich media and additional vertical market content, will be added in the coming months.
