Dan Dugan Sound Design will demonstrate the new E-1 automatic mixing controller, featuring Dugan’s transparent automatic microphone mixing technology, at InfoComm. The E-1 automatic mixing controller has replaced the Model E as Dugan’s economy model. It replaces the physical control panel of the Model D series with a Java-driven remote-control panel on the user’s computer. The E-1 provides eight channels of signal processing and patches into the input insert points of a mixing console. The E-1 detects which mics are being used and makes fast, transparent cross-fades, freeing the operator to focus on balance and sound quality instead of having to pay constant attention to the faders.
