The SM splash-proof wireless audio transmitter encodes a 24-bit digital audio signal into a robust analog format for transmission over a UHF FM carrier. The transmitter is compander-free and delivers 107dB SNR and flat frequency response to 20kHz. A single AA battery provides 100mW of transmitting power for more than four hours of operation, and an LCD display offers easy adjustment of frequency and audio level.
Background Music System
The BMS-2 centralized background music system controls stereo audio source distribution through touch wallplates or an optional built-in web server. The modestly priced system finds application in health spas, fitness centers, medical suites, hotels, conference centers, and general public spaces.
Control Module and Power Amps
The Nx CobraNet-8 control module fits into the rear bay of CMi 2204 and CMi 2208 power amps to support Crest NexSys 4 and Peavey MediaMatrix MWare programs for advanced control and audio routing. The module supports all NexSys and DSP functions and CobraNet digital audio I/O on a single Cat-5 Ethernet cable. The easy-to-set-up system monitors up to eight CobraNet audio channels.
The Q-CS100 omnidirectional in-ceiling loudspeaker features a sensitivity of 94dB, a maximum SPL of 114dB, a frequency response of 45Hz to 16kHz (±4.5dB), and 100W RMS maximum power. Its hemispherical sound field offers even coverage, with fewer units than a system using conventional speakers. The loudspeaker is shipped fully assembled as an easy-to-install, one-piece unit.
The compact Model 230 analog, single-channel preamplifier and voice processor features RPA tube preamplification, Easyrider compression, Logic Assisted gating, split-band de-essing, parametric EQ, and Aphex's Aural Exciter and Big Bottom psychacoustic effects. Applications include broadcast, ADR, installed sound, music recording, and live sound reinforcement. The preamp implements an XLR mic input and +4dBu output, a 1/4in. TRS -10dBV output, 1/4in. TRS send-and-receive insert, AES3, S/PDIF, and optical digital outputs up to 96kHz, plus word clock I/O on BNCs.
Nigel B Design
The lightweight RMS stereo amplifiers feature 45W of power for high sound quality in large spaces. They increase the sound output of any projector by as much as 10X and can be easily mounted on a projector's pole using the Universal Projector Pole Mount. The amps can feed directly into ceiling speakers, reducing installation costs by eliminating the extra wiring required when bulky amplifiers have to be mounted in a rack or cabinet in the room below.
The XO24 digital speaker management controller, designed for PA systems and fixed installations, offers two inputs, four outputs, and a routing engine that sends any input to any output. Each signal path includes crossover filters, four-band parametric EQ, delay, limiting, and an additional four-band speaker-tuning parametric EQ. All functions are directly accessible via the simple front-panel user interface. The controller features 20 factory and 100 user presets.
The Brauner Phantom V variable-pattern, non-tube (FET), large-diaphragm mic offers switchable omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-eight polar patterns, as well as a -15dB pad. The mic features a self-noise of 8dBa, a maximum SPL of 142dB at 0.3 percent THD, and a frequency range of 20Hz to 22kHz. The package comes with the Brauner SMV shock-mount suspension system.
