Audix’s HT-5 is an omnidirectional headset microphone designed for fidelity, functionality, and durability. The versatility of the HT-5 allows it to be used for a wide variety of applications including: theatre, presentations, houses of worship, boardrooms, live music vocals, broadcast, and instruments. The omnidirectional headset maintains high speech intelligibility without sounding hollow or harsh while the low-profile design focuses the attention of the listener on the speaker, not the microphone.

The HT-5 includes a flexible steel frame that adjusts to accommodate different head sizes. The flexible micro-boom also permits the user to position the element for sound quality and comfort. Other design features include a strain relief at the back of the frame to protect the microphone from damage and a dual earpiece.

With a flat response across the audio spectrum and an SPL handling of 140dB, the HT-5 comes in black and beige. The stock HT-5, which terminates in a 3-pin mini-XLR, is intended for use with the Audix RAD360 wireless system. The HT-5 is also available with a 4-pin mini-XLR connector (model HT5-4PIN) that can be used with other brands of wireless systems on the market, as well as a phantom power adapter (model HT5-P) to use as a straight-ahead hard-wired headset microphone. Suggested list price for the HT-5 is $399.
