The opening keynote speaker for the 2006 CEDIA Expo, to be held Sept. 13-17 in Denver, is William Leszinske, general manager of the Networked Media Platform Group within Intel's Digital Home Group. He previously served as the Intel Viiv technology platform manager. Leszinske has extensive experience in sales and marketing. In 2004, he formed the Digital Home marketing team within Intel's Desktop Products Group. He also served as director of Chipset and Software Marketing for the same group. Prior to joining Intel, he was a regional applications manager for one of the world's largest computer companies. Leszinske will be speaking on Sept. 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Also speaking at CEDIA Expo this year is Steve Forbes. Forbes is president and CEO of Forbes and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine. Since Forbes assumed his position in 1990, the company has launched a variety of new publications and businesses, including Forbes FYI, the irreverent lifestyle supplement; Forbes Asia; and Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, and Polish editions of the magazine. Forbes also publishes the Gilder Technology Report, as well as a number of investment newsletters.

In 1996, Forbes entered the new media arena with the launch of Now receiving more than 10 million unique monthly visitors, it has become a leading destination site for senior business decisionmakers and investors. Other company divisions include: Forbes Conference Group and Forbes Custom Media. Steve Forbes will be speaking on Sept. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the CEDIA Annual Meeting and Membership Luncheon.

CU On the Road is in full swing, and from May 17-20 Lutron Electronics will host CEDIA University's Electronic Systems Project Management (ESPM) core curriculum classes; Business (ESB) and Customer Relations (ESCR) seminars and full-day workshops; and the Installer Level II review and exam. CEDIA Certified Instructors (CCI) will be onsite. Also, Lutron will be offering free manufacturer product training. This will be the last time in 2006 that CEDIA University education will be offered on the East Coast, so don't miss this great opportunity.
