For high vocal intelligibility in indoor and outdoor environments, One Systems offers the 212IM two-way, double 12in. lightweight copolymer-based speaker system optimized for high UV exposure with a stainless steel or high strength aluminum grille. Available with the each unit is a selection of array and flying suspension hardware. Each cabinet houses two 12in. 12I/O low-frequency drivers in a vertical array, and the input section is equipped with 4-pin Neutrik SpeakOns and a stainless steel hardware barrier strip. The system delivers 16Hz to 16kHz frequency response, a coverage pattern of 60x40 degrees horizontal and 1200W continuous power handling capacity.
For background and general-purpose audio playback in humid environments, QSC equipped the AcousticDesign AD-S32T a 3in. woofer with a polypropylene cone and a rubber surround. Highs are handled by a 0.75in. dome tweeter with a titanium diaphragm and a cloth surround for 100x100-degree dispersion. Rated for 30W continuous power and 120W peaks, the enclosure is available in black or white and it includes an aluminum grille that is backed with acoustically transparent foam to provide protection from the weather. Equipped with multiple power taps and an 8Ω bypass, the connection terminals also have plated screw terminals and a sealing weather cover.
The P1180-T indoor/outdoor two-way speaker system from RCF is housed in a single rotational-molded, UV-protected, IP55-rated polyethylene cabinet. It combines a 1in. rotatable constant directivity 90x60-degree CD horn with an 8in. high-efficiency, low-frequency transducer. Each unit is equipped with a large U-shaped mounting bracket, and the grille is custom perforated aluminum with open-cell fibers and water-repellent woven fabric backing. It features 100W power handling, 80Hz to 20kHz frequency response, maximum SPL of 121dB at 3.28ft., and a nominal impedance of 8Ω.
The ECS-AW70V-6-WHT Episode commercial surface-mount speaker from SnapAV is an all-weather unit with an easy power tap setting dial and gold-plated, five-way binding posts for wiring connections. A 6.5in. polypropylene woofer with Nomex spider and a 1in. fluid-cooled aluminum dome tweeter are surrounded by a UV-treated, mineral-filled polypropylene cabinet and stainless steel bolts. The 70V/100V speaker system has a 65Hz to 20kHz frequency response and a dispersion angle of 110 degrees. The white enclosure has a grille composed of powder-coated, Micro-perf aluminum, and weighs 10.5lbs.
For outdoor environments where paging and other high-volume, high-intelligibility applications require omnidirectional dispersion, Soundsphere has designed the Q012A with a protective screen over the holes and driver. Using the exclusive patent-pending Poly-exponential Incidence Reflector, the unit provides 250W RMS power handling, 60Hz to 16kHz (±6dB) frequency response, a 12in. true coaxial driver, and it can be mounted in a hanging arrangement or fixed to a solid surface. The enclosure and reflector are composed of fiberglass with gel-coat finish and rust-resistant hardware.
The SPRK65CBT 6.5in. outdoor rock speaker from Speco Technologies is constructed of a high-end polymer, coupled with a fine-mesh, integrated grille. The rock-like enclosure contains a polypropylene cone woofer with a rubber surround and a Mylar dome tweeter that together produce a frequency response of 70Hz to 20kHz and handle up to 60W maximum power. Available in either brown or granite color, the transformer equipped units have power taps at 30W, 15W, 7.5W and 3.25W.
