Technology meets the challenge in a tough arena.
Tru Audio picked the name "Ghost" for the series of ceiling loudspeakers to which the GG-8 belongs because of the disappearing act performed by their 2mm micro reveal and rimless magnetic grilles. The GG-8 consists of a white glass-fiber woofer and a 1in. swiveling titanium tweeter with a combined frequency response of 34Hz to 20kHz. The system can handle power levels from 5W to 150W and both components have level adjustments of +3dB, 0db, and -3dB.
For simple installation in a 70/100V system Yorkville Sound offers the 60W Coliseum C165W ceiling loudspeaker with a 6in. woofer and 3/4in. tweeter providing 100Hz-to-16kHz response. It has power taps of 7.5W, 15W, 30W, and 60W along with an ABS plastic housing and metal grille, making it suitable for installation in drywall or a drop ceiling.
