MONITORING SYSTEM

Beyerdynamic's Headzone portable headphone system allows for professional monitoring and provides headphone-based 5.1 surround sound reproduction using current DSP technology. The system also offers a patented ultrasonic headtracking system, which locates the orientation of the listener's head with respect to the source material and adjusts the audio accordingly for optimal mobility.

SUBWOOFER

NHT Pro's S-80Xd DSP-corrected subwoofer features two 12in. woofers mounted back to back to eliminate unwanted vibrations and the need for cones or spikes. The subwoofer is equipped with a 500W Class D amplifier and features an outboard XdA containing the DEQX DSP processor, four amplifiers, and a power supply. It also includes RCA and XLR inputs, four powered outputs (to power either a single M-80Xd or a pair of M-60Xd monitors), and two-line and balanced outputs for adding subwoofers.

LOUDSPEAKER

Tannoy's CMS801 DC in-ceiling speaker is the latest addition to a line of loudspeakers designed to satisfy the demand for high-quality, unobtrusive sound systems in commercial installations and custom residential installations. The speaker incorporates an 8in. Dual Concentric point source and a constant-directivity drive unit, offering high power handling (360W peak) and wide dispersion. The compact unit delivers full bandwidth (47Hz to 30kHz at -3dB) with high sensitivity (92dB).

AUDIO CONTROL SYSTEM

Golan Systems' iCast 16/88 system enables control of up to 16 channels of any source, as well as 16 stereo audio channels and one voice announcement channel. The system also provides connection to up to 88 wired control units. Each unit includes volume and channel control and a headphone jack. The content can be displayed on any screen with a video input jack. Digital signage broadcasting units that would produce a text scroll to be displayed at the lower part of each screen are currently under development. The text could be broadcast from a local computer network or by an authorized person from a distance.

LOUDSPEAKERS

The JBL Cinema Sound CS6100 and CS480 speakers use high-quality drivers and components, such as titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas woofers, to deliver high-quality sound. Both include four wall-mountable satellite speakers and a wall-mountable center-channel speaker. The CS6100 also features a 10in., 200W subwoofer, while the CS480 includes an 8in., 100W subwoofer. AMP/MIXER

Designed for musicians who require practice or stage amplification, or as a compact PA setup for intimate club work, Alesis' Transactive 50 incorporates a 5in. low-frequency driver and a 1in. tweeter, and provides 50W of power, two input channels, one auxiliary input, and a selection of internal digital effects.
