Aviom is showcasing the latest addition to its innovative Pro64 Series of audio distribution products—the 6416m Mic Input Module—at InfoComm 08, along with companion products the RCI Remote Control Interface and the MCS Mic Control Surface. Aviom’s newest products all target the installation, production, live performance, broadcast, and postproduction markets. The 6416m delivers 16 state-of-the-art remote-controllable mic-level inputs to a Pro64 audio network. Each channel on the 6416m has a continuously variable gain setting, multi-segment signal level LEDs, and individual channel on/off switches. The 6416m supports all valid Pro64 sample rates, from 44.1/48kHz± to 192kHz±. Because the system does not rely on sample rate converters, users are guaranteed pristine, low-latency distribution of the digital signal regardless of the sample rate of incoming audio.
