JVC 47in. LCD TV Packs in Full 1080p

The 47in. JVC LT-47X788 LCD TV is part of the new high-performance 688 series of 1080p TVs from JVC. The 1920x1080 resolution is supplemented by JVC’s Digital Image Scaling Technology (DIST) engine that converts all signals to display at full 1080p. Dual HDMI inputs are version 1.3 and additional inputs include two component, three composite, and one S-Video. Additional features include nine aspect ratio modes, including a native mode that shows the full picture with no overscan, four picture modes to optimize the picture for ambient light and program material, and a USB photo viewer. Tuners include ATSC and a Clear QAM tuner for receiving unscrambled digital cable signals. A mosquito noise suppressor circuit is said to eliminate noise in low bit-rate signals without degrading the image.
